The Heckler & Koch MP5 is arguably the most famous submachine gun ever produced. With its light weight, and superior accuracy compared to other submachine guns, the MP5 makes for an excellent choice where a handheld pistol just isn't enough. The standard MP5 comes in a 9mm caliber, but the MP5/10, used by most Law Enforcment officers, has a 10mm caliber. There is also an MP5/40 which utilizes a .40 S&W caliber round. The LAPD Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) team assigns the standard MP5 to all Assaulters, Scouts, and Element Leaders. The MP5 can be set to Semi-Automatic, or Full-Automatic mode. Semi automatic requires the user to press the trigger for every round fired. In Full-Automatic the user presses and holds the trigger for sustained firing action. AQ2 uses only Full-Automatic, with the option of selecting a 3-Round burst mode, which fires 3 rounds for every trigger hold. Once the three rounds have been fired, the user must release, and re-depress the trigger. Using the 3-Round burst mode makes the MP5 more accurate. The MP5 is the most used weapon, mainly because of its accuracy, and 30 round capacity. It carries a maximum of two extra magazines, plus one magazine loaded. The MP5 can be fitted with a laser-sight, greatly improving accuracy, and with a sound/light supressor, making yourself that much more stealthy.
