Lemme know what they are. So far we got "idle timer affects people when it shouldn't" and "idle timer goes crazy after 4 people join the server."

Details, people, details! 4.3p is on PM's pub 2 port, I forget the IP address for that. But it ain't the normal "pearlmankey.dhs.org" one.

* spawnProtect doesn't help falls

* Spawning players are now only translucent if spawnProtect is set
* Players are notified in matchplay if a spectator is chasecamming them
* Subs are no longer considered for special duty
* Players idling for 60 seconds or more are removed from their team
- not in matchplay
- dead players don't count
* Added server command "sv orphan" to immediately remove a player from his team
- usage: sv orphan
- get player # from 'status'
* Added server command "sv teamscore" to display team scores in the console

v4.3n

* Made spawn protection toggleable and added it to DM as well as TP
- cvar 'spawnProtect' (default: 0)
- 2 seconds of invulnerability upon spawn
- protected player is semi-transparent
- firing a weapon negates invulnerability
* Referees see who is dead or alive on both teams
* Referees see ALL chat (public and team)
* Special players in Espionage who overflow with matchplay set are counted as killed
* Special players in Espionage who sub out with matchplay set are counted as killed
* If a special player in matchplay overflows or subs out and no other volunteers exist, an arbitrary replacement is selected
* Ping rating in matchplay throws out highest ping for more than 2 players
* Subs don't respawn

* Fixed incorrect display of self-indicator on TE scoreboard
* Disabled 'teamname' and 'teamskin' in E-TE mode
* Fixed miscount in ML author name
* Fixed incorrect display of player info on 2nd TE scoreboard
* Match timer pauses when not enough volunteers are found for a match

v4.3l

* useLowlagSounds defaults to 1. For those that are going to whine, 4.3k went up on PearlMankey, and the players said "Are lowlag sounds broken? The machineguns are more laggy now."
* weaponBan now catches the lone knife if knives are banned
* Pistols are not ejected if weaponBan includes Mk23 or Dual

Items to be tested:

1. idle timer
- Does it work?
- If not, under what conditions does it fail?

2. Espionage stuff
- PM doesn't have scenarios set up, so good luck testing this

3. spawnProtection
- a quick foray into DM will test this out, it's mosly tested except for the falling damage, I think

4. TE stuff
- is this on the match ports yet? the idle timer doesn't do anything in "matchplay 1" so it should be safe to use for matches

Well, as far as the idle timer goes, I've noticed that I've often been removed from my team the second a new round starts, even if i were only idle for a few seconds before the round. I've also noticed that it does work properly in certain cases, as people have been removed from their teams when idle during a round. May i suggest something more along the lines of "if idle for 2 complete rounds" perhaps?

i agree. i'd suggest idle for x rounds instead of seconds.

although i do see the advantage that an idler won't be sticking around more than 60 seconds during around... tough to say. server var? (maybe numbers under 15 are idle rounds, anything over is number of seconds idle?)

I use Espionage, but it doesnt work on many servers. Actually, it only works on a PM server that i know of, what gives?

I use low lag sounds and another program that lets me vote and other things. Im not sure exactly what it is.
The sounds only work on some servers, the rest of the servers i hear normal quake2 sounds (m4 is plasma rifle sound; mp5 is machine gun sound; HC is super shotgun sound etc..)

As a client, the game dll that you have is irrelevant. The server controls all that (voting, espionage, etc.). If you are hearing baseq2 sounds on a server, then you don't have the lowlag sounds installed, and the server is telling you to play them. You can get the client pack at http://aqdt.fear.net .

If you want to play Espionage, then you either have to run a server yourself or connect to one that is running the Espionage setup (there may be one currently running somewhere).

2010 rocks. Eden's Crush planted a bomb in N'Sync's tour bus and then stole all their fans.

You don't hear lowlag sounds on some servers and not others. Assuming that you don't have the client pack (which it sounds like you don't), what is actually happening is that you are hearing the proper AQ sounds on standard servers, and the baseq2 sounds on servers running lowlag sounds. Go to the URL above and get the lowlag client pack from the downloads page.
