RAS = Remote Access Service. something about adminning remotely, which you don't need.

open up admin tools->services and stop the services that relate to remote access. in fact, turn them to "manual"

while you're at it, go to arstechnica.com, their NT4 tweak guide, find the one that tells you which services you can shut down, and do so. more stable, less overhread, more memory, and possibly more secure.

i think that's something else, not RAS.

All remote admin services are off.

i think it's just some bad uninstall of some prog that left something that should have been deleted.

i will most likely reformat sometime anyway.
